Teachers’ Day Celebrations 2025

“A teacher plants the seeds of knowledge, but more importantly, awakens the soul to its own potential.”

Teachers’ Day at Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy was a graceful blend of reflection, celebration, and heartfelt appreciation for the teaching staff.

The day began with the Holy Mass, celebrated by Very Rev. Fr. Alvin Peter Fernando, Vicar General and Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Church, Katugastota. His message honoured the vocation of teaching—not merely as a profession, but as a quiet calling that shapes the hearts and futures of the young.

The felicitation programme that followed paid tribute through music, dance, and rhythm—each performance an expression of admiration for the teachers’ dedicated service. The day came to a close with a spirit of joy and grace; a gentle reminder that behind every confident child stands a teacher who first believed in them.
