The Prefects’ Investiture Ceremony held on the 4th of June 2025 marked a proud and meaningful occasion at the Collegiate School, as the newly appointed School Committee officially assumed their leadership roles.

The event began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, led by Rev. Fr. Lakmal Perera, Rector of St. Joseph’s Minor Seminary, Poornawatte. In his homily, he reflected on the values student leaders should embrace—humility, empathy, responsibility, and integrity—drawing inspiration from the Good Shepherd. He reminded the prefects that true leadership is defined by service and compassion.

A reflection on this year’s theme, “Being an Inspiring Shepherdian Leader,” further emphasized the importance of guiding others with conviction and care.

The ceremony concluded with the oath-taking, as the prefects pledged to uphold the school’s values and fulfil their responsibilities with dedication. The event stood as both a celebration of leadership and a call to lead by example.
