The Rohini Alles – Sr. Mary Agnes De Alwis Challenge Trophy Netball Encounter 2025 took place on March 3rd at the Municipal Council Sports Complex in Kandy, marking the second year that Gateway College, Kandy, and Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy, came together for an exciting day of competition.

The event began with the U15 match, in which Gateway College, Kandy triumphed over Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy, claiming the victory. Next was the exhibition match between Hillwood College, Kandy, and Maliyadeva Girls' College, Kurunegala, where Hillwood College emerged victorious as champions.

However, in the highly anticipated U20 Encounter, Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy defeated Gateway College, Kandy, to secure the coveted Rohini Alles – Sr. Mary Agnes De Alwis Challenge Trophy for the second consecutive year.

The event concluded with an inspiring address by the Chief Guest, Ms. Thilaka Jinadasa, National Netball Coach at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Brunei Darussalam, followed by an award ceremony to celebrate the incredible performances of all the teams. It was a day of excitement and healthy competition, strengthening the bond between the schools.
