On the 24th of September 2025, Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy hosted FLARE 25, the 25th Installation Ceremony of its Interact Club, at the school’s main hall. This milestone event marked 25 years of service, leadership, and dedication through the Interact movement at the school.

The event was graced by the presence of the Honoured Chief Guest, Rotarian Paul Harris Fellow Captain Ravindra Thammita, President of the Rotary Club of Kandy, whose inspiring address encouraged students to lead with integrity and to serve with purpose.

The Principal of Good Shepherd Convent, Rev. Sr. Sudarika Fernando, was also present, offering her blessings and support to the newly appointed board and commending the Interact Club for its longstanding contribution to the school and community.

The outgoing board presented their Annual and Treasurer’s Reports, highlighting the achievements and impactful service initiatives of the past year. The outgoing President then officially handed over responsibilities to the Incoming President, who delivered a heartfelt speech outlining her vision for the year ahead.

The ceremony concluded with encouraging words from distinguished guests and a Vote of Thanks delivered by the Incoming Secretary, followed by a brief entertainment segment that added vibrancy to the evening.

The Interact Club of Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy, looks forward to another year of purposeful service, personal growth, and meaningful contribution to the wider community.
