On May 5th, Environmental Day was observed at Good Shepherd Convent, with the urgent need to end plastic pollution being highlighted. The gathering was addressed by Rev. Sr. Sudarika Fernando, the Principal, who inspired everyone to embrace their role as caretakers of the planet.

Heartfelt speeches and creative performances were presented, underscoring the importance of environmental responsibility. The new Environmental Committee was introduced, contributions of past members were recognized, and tokens of appreciation were given to the dedicated teachers of the Environmental Committee.

The celebration concluded with the opening of an exhibition, which showcased the school community’s commitment to sustainability and a greener future.
