The Annual Interhouse Athletic Meet of Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy was held on the 22nd of April 2024 at the Bogambara Stadium. Commodore Pradeep Karunathillake - Director Naval Electrical, Sri Lanka Navy, The Vice President of the Football Federation Sri Lanka, and the Chairmen of the Sri Lanka Tennis Association graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. This year the Athletic Meet took up the theme FARVE - a Danish word for colours, representing the colours of the five houses. These five colours are symbolic of the students in the school, consisting of diverse nationalities and religions who come together to uphold fair play and goodwill in the name of sports.

The highlights of the programme were the Gymnastic Display, the Karate Display, the Drill Display and the Western and Eastern Band Displays followed by the March Past. The Gymnastic Display emphasized the students’ flexibility, agility and coordination of movement. Some of the moves beautifully executed, involved students fearlessly moving through a ring of fire.

The champions in the different age groups got the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and aptitudes. Their capabilities are not confined to classroom and Cocurricular activities only but also in sports - track and field events.
