On the 14th of October, 2024, Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy, hosted the much-awaited Installation Ceremony of its Interact Club at the St. Mary Euphrasia Hall. The event marked the formal transition of leadership within the club, bringing together a distinguished group of guests, faculty, and students for an inspiring and celebratory evening.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome extended to all attendees. The esteemed dignitaries included the Chief Guest, Rtn. PHF Shanaz Sahabdeen, along with the Guests of Honor, and the President of the Rotary Club of Kandy, Rtn. PHF Deshamanya Awanti Karunarathne.

The outgoing Secretary then presented the Annual and Treasurer’s Reports for the year 2023/2024, reflecting on the club’s achievements and community contributions. With a sense of pride and accomplishment, the outgoing President addressed the gathering before formally passing the leadership to the Incoming President. The Incoming President delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude and outlining the vision for the year ahead.

As the evening unfolded, several distinguished guests shared their words of encouragement, emphasizing the significance of youth empowerment, community service, and the pivotal role Interact Clubs play in promoting global citizenship and leadership. The ceremony concluded with a lively entertainment segment, followed by the Vote of Thanks by the Incoming Secretary, bringing the Installation Ceremony to a close.
