The 10th of April 2024, marks an important day in the school calendar as the school gathered to celebrate the Opening and Blessing of the reconstructed Basketball Court. This simple but solemn occasion commenced with a short prayer service, which was followed by the Blessing and Message by Rev. Fr. Milroy Fonseka, Procurator General and Manger of Catholic Private Schools (CP).

The reconstruction of the basketball court was an initiative taken by the Principal, Rev. Sr. Sudarika Fernando.

This project was made possible by the support given by the Bishop of Kandy, Rt. Rev. Dr. Valence Mendis along with the General Manger of Catholic Schools and the generous contributions made by the past pupils.

The CEO of PLAYER and Lanka Tec Company, one of the National Coaches of Sri Lanka Basketball, Mr. Tharindu Fernando took the initiative to innovate the basketball court. We appreciate his concern, his generous support and his commitment towards the completion of this project.

Education is not confined to the classroom only. There is no doubt that this new facility will contribute immensely in enhancing students’ skills in the field of sports, contributing to the development of their personality.
