“A good teacher has a greater influence in shaping the life of an individual, even more than his/ her parents”.

The Teachers’ Day of Good Shepherd Convent Kandy was celebrated on the 5th of October 2018 at St. Euprasia’s Hall. Teachers’ Day has been celebrated, since 1962 in honor and respect of the contributions made by countless numbers of teachers.

On this day the teachers of Good Shepherd Convent Kandy were escorted to the Main Hall by the School Western Music Band .The teachers were gifted with a Tulip flower and a token of appreciation by the students assembled at the Basket Ball Court.

The programme of the day was vibrant, with the staged speeches and performances, done in appreciation of the teachers. A short time of fellowship followed afterwards. The Principal Rev. Sr. Chandrika Perera addressed all the Teachers, with her inspiring words. She thanked all the teachers, for their diligence, sincerity and hard work. Teachers were gifted with gift vouchers and a token of appreciation by the Principal.
