The Annual Inter-House Athletic Sports Meet

“Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible” (St. Francis of Assisi.) The Annual Inter-House Athletic Meet of Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy was held on 22nd January 2016 at the Bogambara Stadium. The Chief Guest was Very Rev.Fr. Milroy Fonseka, Manager of Catholic Schools, Central Province. The Guest of Honour were Rev.Sr. Mary Euphrasia, Sector Co-ordinator, Mr. Athula Jayawardena, Director of Sports, Central Province.
Some of the highlights were, a colourful gymnastic display by the students from Grade 3 to 8 in the 5 houses, the march past and a band display by the Western, Eastern and Junior Bands. The Victory stand ceremony included the participation of the parents.

Saint Terasitas came first with 217 points with St. Brigids in second place. Saint Helenas came 1st in the March Past for the second successive year.
