Welcoming the Grade 1 Students 2016

The new students to Grade 1 2016 were warmly received to the school with a welcome ceremony held on 14th January 2016 at 9.00 a.m. in the School Main Hall.
The Chief Guest was Rev.Fr.Joseph Miranda. He was welcomed by the Junior Western Band. The National Flag, Papal Flag and School Flag were hoisted. The Grade 1 students welcomed the guests including Rev.Sr.Princy Mendis, Sr.Superior, Rev.Sr.Chandrika Perera, Principal.
The Grade 2 students welcomed the grade 1 students with a rose. The welcome speech was delivered bySamadhi Athaudaa student from Grade 2.
This was followed by a short entertainment after the prayer service. The parents were entertained to a dance and song.
In his speech, the Chief Guest, Rev.Fr.Miranda Joseph spoke on the role of parents in inculcating values to their children and fostering good habits. Prior to this, the students came to school for three days and spent time with their teachers.
The school is happy to welcome these students to the Good Shepherd family.
