School Day & Prefects’ Investiture Ceremony 2015

The 126th Anniversary of School Day February 8th of Good Shepherd Convent Kandy was celebrated on Monday 9th February 2015, with Holy Mass in the Convent Chapel.
This was followed by the Prefects’ Investiture Ceremony in the School Main Hall. The Chief Guest was Rev. Fr. Milroy Fonseka – Vicar General and Manager of Catholic Schools, Central Province. He spoke on the values of the Good Shepherd and urged Sisters, teachers, parents and students to follow in the ways of the Lord. Forty six students were appointed as Prefects and Captains with Shirunie Peiris as the School Captain of the Collegiate School, for the year 2015. Twenty four Captains and five Prefects received their badges with Maleesha Fernando as school captain of the Primary School, for the Year 2015. A distinguished gathering of Rev. Sisters, Past Teachers, Past Pupils, members of the School Development Committee and parents, were present on this memorable occasion.
